Mugs

Starting things off light, if you need a caffeine fix, Mugs is a good local spot to hit up! They have great coffee, amazing food, and they’re great if your in the mood for a quick sandwich or bagel (pretty much everything served here is from other local businesses). Also be sure to check out the mural in the back, and you may spot some goats hanging out on it.

yampa

Yampa Sandwich

If you’re not interested in coffee shops, head over to another local joint that’s actually right across the street from Mugs. Yampa Sandwich Company is a great place to go for some extra gourmet sandwiches. Their menu also caters to vegetarians, so if you’re looking for a non-carnivorous feast, Yampa has you covered.

Tasty Harmony

Yampa isn’t the only place that caters to vegetarians and plant-based eaters in Fort Collins! One of them is Tasty Harmony, a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that takes some of your favorite dishes; burgers, quesadillas, wings – and makes them with vegetarians and vegans in mind. It’s a great place to eat even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian, so give it whirle

social

The Social

After you’ve had some grub, it’s time to get a drink and celebrate your new town. Fortunately for you, Fort Collins has great culture around distilleries and craft beer, so there’s no shortage of places to go for a delicious adult beverage. Social is one of these spots. It’s a classy bar with some really unique craft cocktails! Just be sure to get there a little early, the line gets a little longer as the night drags on, especially on weekends.

Odell

Odell Brewing Company

Cocktails are fun, but nothing beats a nice cold mug of a freshly-tapped brew. Fort Collins is home to several breweries like Odell’s Brewing Company. Almost all of their offerings are on tap so if you’re a fan of Odell’s, or never even heard of them, this is a good place to sit down and have a drink. As a bonus they have live music events along with brewery tours. If you have some time to kill, check out their event schedule!

pinball-hones

Pinball Jones

Looking for something to actually DO outside of eating and drinking? Fort Collins has plenty to offer! Swing by to Pinball Jones if you’re a fan of old school arcade games and pinball machines. They have a ton of games spanning multiple decades, so take your pick as to what you want to play. They also have small bar too, just in case you change your mind about those drinks.

HT-rock

Horsetooth Rock

Maybe pinball and video games aren’t your style, that’s fine. If you’re looking for something else to do then we definitely suggest hiking up Horsetooth Rock. It’s one of Fort Collins’ most popular hiking spots, and the views at the top are simply stunning. Horsetooth Reservoir also offers paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and boating if you want to have some fun in the water during the Summer!

the-lyric

The Lyric

Fort Collins has no shortage of movie theaters, but the Lyric is something else entirely. An outdoor movie theater where you can relax on the patio and enjoy a nice beer while you watch some select movies that are hand-picked by the independent theater’s owner. If you’re a fan of bad “B Movies,” they have a “Bad Movie Night” that will make fans of Red Letter Media and Mystery Science Theater 3000 quite happy.

These are only just a few places to check out when you move to Fort Collins. Trust us there is a lot more to explore than what we have here, so be sure to dive deep and have fun! Fort Collins is a really fun place to live, and we’re so glad you’re here.

Moving can be frustrating and stressful. If you are having a massive headache of a move, be sure to call on the goats to get it done. We move it all; from safes and pianos to boxes and sofas, we have you covered.
